Default Im want to buy a Restaurant

Im looking to buy outright a restaurant in the Glasgow or Edinburgh areas in Scotland.

I want an operation that has been in existance for at least 3 years and has in the current propriotors opinion reached a steady revenue.

Please PM me if you fit the bill.

Hi Bob,
My budget - excluding property is £100,000.
I will also consider buying the property where the business is located if the price is right ie no more than 200k.
Regards
Mark

This had been my dream too, but I am not ready for this at present. May be it will take me lot many more years to get into a position when I would be able go ahead with my own restaurant.

My first job was in a restaurant. I've seen it's potential as a profitable business. It had always been my wish to put up mine in the future. I had thought that the main problem would be the capital, but I've seen people with the right amount of capital, still they can't simply do everything right. What I've realized is that entreprenuers would need a reliable business plan to promote their restaurant business.

In the current economic climate where people are tending to stay in doors rather than going out to eat and drink, getting into the restaurant business has some risk.

But then again, it could mean you could pick something up at a bargain price.

Well is it really so,even if is like that, it is a short phase. Food joints might be facing little slump at present but things are not all that bad. People love to eat out if I talk about my city...it is still tough to find a table in a good restaurant in the evening.

Things are really bad in UK. Large companies shutting down each week. Just heard Zavvi closing. They reckon its only going to get worse in 2009.

But great to hear it's better in your area

Hi Mark,

Do you have a background in restaurants. If not then please note that it is extremely hard to run a restaurant. I have a long background in the hospitality industry so if you need any advice then please be sure to let me know.

Hi James. My cousin had just resigned from her job and she's planning on putting up her own restaurant business. She believes that restaurant can be a profitable business as people would not stop eating. There will always be customers to patronize the business. Can you share some helpful advice or tips?
