Default Blogging is profitable and fun.

Blogging started out as more of a journal where people would set up blogs as a daily diary or family journal a great way for relatives to interact from long distances. What many people started realizing is that these blogs attract a large audience, because people love to read about personal experiences or about just about any subject you can think of. And of course, if you can attract a large audience for your blog you can create a decent income by using blog for the business purposes.

I've always heard of this word blogging. I'm completely clueless as to how this is done. How will I start blogging? Is there a good site to start it? Does it really pay and how much?

Your tips would be greatly appreciated

Blogging comes from the word “Blog” which means a personal online journal. Years ago it wasn’t used to earn some money online but advertisers found out that it can be easily indexed by search engine thus creating a market for it.

You could start it for free or paid. If you are looking for free then you can try blogger.com and start your account. Remember that this isn’t yours and thus they could shut it down whenever they feel it. If you are serious about it then I advise you get your own hosting and buy your domain so that you could do anything on it.

I have also heard a lot about blogging, I am also wishing to learn about it and start my own blogs. One thing I wanted to know is that, is regular updating required for blogs?

Regular update is a must for every blog since you are must keep your readers to come back to your site. You couldn’t do this if you aren’t updating at least 5 X a week.

When starting your blog you should also consider on learning some SEO so that your site would grow.

Forgive me, I've missed this reply. I've started a thread about blogging but after I've read this post. I'm really interested and I couldn't wait to start my own. If I'll choose to have my domain, where will I buy it? Thanks again.

If you buy your own hosting then the domain will be provided for free but if you want more domains then you could buy at sites like name, namecheap, godaddy and the likes.

Make sure that your domain doesn’t have a lot of competitors. This was my mistake when I stated my first blog.

I own a few blogs but its not fun for me. The main problem with running a blog is that you should really make at least one post a day. This is why I prefer regular html static websites filled with high quality content.

Some bloggers just use their blogs as online diaries. Sharing their interests with the world. They don't even put ads on them.

You can get free blogs from blogger.com and choose from loads of templates. Put Adsense ads on them and other affiliate ads to monetize them. Promote them som other people will come along and see what you are up to. Update them adding new content all the time.

Join twiiter (Twitter.com) get people to follow you and you can follow others. You can promote your blogs in your twitter updates.

If you buy your own domain name, you can install your own blog using wordpress or drupal. Again loads of templates are available for free. Do it for fun or profit. Monetize your blog by placing Adsense ads and affiliate links in your posts. Promote your blogs using SB methods/article marketing/forum posting etc

Another great site where you can get a free blog is on the Wordpress website. If you do have your own domain then I would suggest using either Wordpress or even blogger.
