Have you used classifieds, free or paid, to market your site or services? I hear conflicting feedback, some people report success, others say it's a waste of time.

I have used them before when I was a marketing executive of a few credit cards. It works like a char on finding some clients. Only that the clients I did find aren’t qualified at all.

I have frequently sold websites for example through classifieds as well as domains. I have also offered some freelance services and I always received plenty of replies.

It seems like classifieds work in some cases but not in others... I am trying to see the pattern and find out what they are good for. Internet-related stuff seems to do better with classifieds.

I absolutely agree with you Rusty. Classifieds are not for everyone but I do think that people offering services can generally do well with classifieds.

I used free classifieds and they are good for your product because many free classifieds sites like kijiji and back page. They are very good.
