Default Getting paid in US Dollars. Yipes

I don't know what is going on with US$ Dollar currency but it is so weak. We do some business and have some clients that pay in dollars. I cringe at the fact of having to convert these to pounds.

How are business handling these massive shifts in currency values? I suppose the simplest strategy would be hold it in adollar account or make american investments. I hear their real esatet market is the rght time to invest with all the bad news and foreclosures.

I wouldn't be buying in the US housing market at the moment, no way!

You are spot on with the exchange rate though, our company is being really squeezed as we get most of our revenue in dollars!

I agree about the exchange rate, and if you decide to invest I would probably put my money other than in real estate. The market it struggling right now. Yes there are a lot of foreclosures occurring, but because of that the rates are dropping and people are lowering prices but I still would not be that willing to invest just yet.

What about the US bond market - their interest rates are dropping and bind prices are rising - how long will this go on for?

Do you konw what's actually caused the drop in the value of the $ against ££? It's a fair hit to me too, as about 40% of my business income comes in through USD, i'm considering changing things so that it's forced income through GBP, but i don't know.
