Default equifax

I just spent 14.95 with equifax to get my credit rating and the report you get is really comprehensive, but its only viewable for a month - a bit of a rip-off don't you think?

Have you used Equifax?

Not used but I know of a way of getting your credit rating and report for free:

Equifax has a service - credit watch gold which costs £69.99 for 12 months. This has a try it free for 30 days clause. You will need a credit card to sign up from which they will authorise £1.00 (but not take - I think they do this to make sure you have a valid card).

You now have your credit report, but remember to cancel within the 30day period (just call their customer services number).
