Maketing companies must have really had to go through some evolution over the past few years, then it was local paper, radio, maybe TV, now its all of the above and web, web, web and marketing on the web is not as easy as it seems.. A lot of the big companies you used to hear about have gone quiet (sachi and Sachi for example) - did they fail to adapt?

That is because there are so many competitors out there now plus people are learning to market their own businesses on the web which will quiet any company that used to offer that service. You will find that many companies that offered web marketing are moving in other directions or trying to take marketing to a whole new level.

Most of the big companies are still there, but tend to be more in the background than they were, Saatchi & Saatchi still exist and are still one of the worlds largest advertising companies.
Yes advertising has had to change, but realistically its still down to good catchy taglines and a powerful brand image, once you have those advertising to any media becomes easier. Jen |

I think that advertising companies do still exist but they are not the same as marketing companies as far as I can tell. Advertising companies have never really joined the internet revolution as they cater primarily to magazines, billboards and the like.
